OOTD: Glamorous Disco Shorts

You may have already seen that online store Glamorous have provided their own more affordable alternative to the cult fashion phenomenon that is the American Apparel disco pants. With the success of their more affordable version being raved about across the blogging world, they've decided to venture into releasing their own high-waisted disco shorts. I was lucky enough to be sent my own black pair before they've even gone live on the website. I must admit at first I was dubious as I'm not a person that's really been fond of the "short shorts" trend as the top of my legs is the area I'm most self conscious about. I've also got quite a curvy build, especially when it comes to my hip area so the idea of bodycon shorts petrified me. However, my first thoughts when I tried them on were how much longer they are than the American Apparel versions, which are ridiculously short. These Glamorous versions cover my toosh sufficiently, and on my more self conscious days I can just easily pop my lace trim cycling shorts underneath to give me that extra bit of length on the shorts. In all honesty, I prefer the Glamorous disco shorts over the AA versions and they're much more purse friendly!

The past week I've been glued to the TV watching the Olympics. I complained so much about it before it started because it's literally happening 10 minutes away from my doorstep at my home address in London and I swore I would stay away until it was over. I'm really regretting making that pledge and hiding away in Southampton as the atmosphere there looks brilliant! Also, I'm so proud at how well Team GB are doing as we seems to be pulling in medals left, right and centre over the past few days!
