Faux Fur Coat: Zara Sale (old), £23 // Fringed Bag*: c/o Brand Village // Dress: H&M via Boot Sale, £1 // Hat: New Look, £10 (old) // Necklaces: Chelsea Doll* & Camden Market
Today's outfit post is a little different from my usual posts, I decided to inject a bit of creativity and narrative. The late 60's and early 70's have always been a great inspiration into everything I do whether it be my wardrobe, my artwork, my make up, my music taste and I've even pushed my bedroom towards a Woodstock vibe. I've been told a couple of times (by older generations) that I remind them of a 60's - 70's groupie, which I've taken as a huge compliment as I'm obsessed with the likes of the Pamela De Barres, Uschi Obermaier and Sable Starr. If you were to look through my wardrobe you would see that it's mainly dominated with inspiration from the 60's-70's including lots of faux fur, paisley prints, fringing, waistcoats, floral prints, tan suedes, lace, batwing and bell sleeves. There's a growing section dedicated to my Minkpink garments which are heavily influenced by the Woodstock era.
To create my early 70's inspired look today, I've grabbed the faithful oversized, floppy hat along with this 70's inspired print, batwing dress by H&M that I picked up from a bootsale for just £1! The start of winter has also meant I've been able to dig out my fur coats (I have quite a collection!), and this faux fur, cropped one was reduced to just £23 from around £100 in the Zara sale last year! It's the favourite in my faux fur collection at the moment. This wonderful fringed bag was sent to me by Brand Village, which fits in perfectly with my 70's themed outfit today. It's a gorgeous pale grey colour, which is perfectly transferable for both the summer and winter months.
P.S. I can't actually play the ukelele! Someone teach me?
