If you're a retro or vintage bee like myself you may understand my excitement at this wonderful little invention that was sent to me by Native Union. No fee video calling is fast becoming more and more popular as there's something a lot more intimate about being able to see who exactly you are talking to. For one, I use video calling a lot, mainly due to the fact I live halfway across the country from a lot of my family and friends. However, sometimes it can feel a bit awkward and unnatural talking directly to a screen when we've been brought up to hold a phone in our hands during calls. Native Union have solved this problem by creating these retro-inspired phones, which ca be connected to your mobile phone, tablet or laptop through a common 3.5mm jack connector (for those non-tech savvy bunch, like myself, a headphone connector!).

They have an assortment of colours and finishes to choose from on their website. I opted for the high gloss "Bloody Mary" as I personally loved just how wonderfully retro it looks! The POP Phone also eliminates up to 99% of absorbed radiation in comparison to your mobile phone as well as improving sound clarity for a much clearer call. It could possibly be down to the fact I'm an Illustration student, but I was also particularly taken by the illustrated packaging too and couldn't not feature a photo of it. These phones retail at around £29.99, which is rather reasonable if you're an avid video caller like myself!
