Jeans*: c/o Jeanography
Buying jeans is one of my worst nightmares. In fact, I actually avoid it at all costs and own a limited number of jeans always opting for shorts, skirts or dresses instead. My phobia of shopping for jeans stems from my awkward figure. Unfortunately I wasn't blessed with a perfectly proportioned body. Instead, I have the annoyance of a rather small waist paired with fuller hips and bottom meaning trouser shopping can prove almost impossible. Trying to find a pair of jeans that fit on the high street is enough of a long-winded mission that I never, ever even contemplate shopping for jeans online because I always know more than likely they will not fit.
Designer denim specialist, Jeanography however understand that women come in all shapes and sizes, and shopping for a perfect fit pair of jeans can be stressful. To solve this denim conundrum they offer a 'First Time Fit' service on all of their products. You can select up to three pairs of jeans to be sent to the comfort of your home free of charge to try on before you commit to buying. I chose to try the True Religion Halle High Rise Super Skinny in Black, the James Jeans Twiggy Mid Rise Legging in Slate and the James Jeans Hunter High Rise Straight Leg in Black Clean. Shortly after ordering for my 'First Time Fit' with Jeanography I received a phone call from a personal stylist, Liz, who talked me through my order and made several amendments to it. Being a typical woman, I always overcompensate for my size in jeans and found out through Liz's advice I had ordered several sizes too large. She corrected this straight away and made sure I was sent more suitable sizes. Sizing is always dependent on the brand of denim, so it's promising to know and trust the advice of a stylist that knows the brand well rather than taking a guess.
My jeans arrived swiftly the next day by courier, well packaged and with a little free sample of nail polish which was a pleasant surprise. After trying all three pairs on, I decided to keep the James Twiggy Legging Jeans in Slate as they fit like a glove and I adore the soft touch feel to them. They're very much a higher quality version of Leigh jeans from Topshop. After you've decided on your perfect pair of jeans it's simple enough to organise a free collection to send your unwanted jeans back to Jeanography. I cannot recommend Jeanography enough as their service certainly goes beyond the call of duty to make sure you get the perfect fit.
I feel that at times, too, because jeans are constricting in a way. I'm excited to see these on you! :)
