Last weekend I was lucky enough to be treated by the guys at Pago Fruit Juice to an evening at The Luna Outdoor Cinema to see one of my all-time 80's favourites Dirty Dancing at their Hampton Court Palace venue. I took Mumma T along for the ride as she's also a fan of the singalong cult classic too! The beautiful, floral gardens of the deceased Henry VIII himself, provided the perfect backdrop for the huge screen on a perfect August summer evening. Hundreds of DD fans gathered in the Palace grounds eagerly awaiting that classic opening track 'Be My Baby'. Whilst waiting for the movie to begin there was plenty to do with pop-up stands by Benefit make-up and the guys at Propercorn.
When the movie began everyone already merry from the influence of a few pre-film beverages cheered and sang along to the opening track. All those well known quotes such as "I carried a watermelon" and "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" were echoed in unison across the gardens and women swooned after the main man, Swayze. The atmosphere was contagious and it really was a wonderful evening, so thank you Pago!
Pago Fruit Juice have been generous enough to donate two more tickets to an outdoor cinema showing for a lucky reader to win. The showing in question is to see another all time favourite film of mine Labyrinth starring the one and only David Bowie! I'm kinda jealous and want to go myself! The screening will take place at Battersea Park, London on the 10th September 2014, so you would have to be able to make your way easily to Battersea Park. Full information on the event can be found here.
If you want to have the chance at winning a pair of tickets to see Labyrinth then follow all of the mandatory steps on the Rafflecopter widget below and keeps your fingers and toes crossed. This giveaway will only run for one week because I understand the winner will have to organise plans around the date of the screening. Good luck film buffs!
