A few weeks ago I dropped by the Beyond Retro Cheshire Street store to pick out a few festival pieces for the current festival season. Whilst I'm personally not going to any this year *sob*, I still like the idea of dressing up, throwing some glitter on my face, sticking on my favourite records and cracking open some strawberry ciders in the garden to get in the mood! With a little imagination, a drunken haze and a flower crown, your garden can be your Glastonbury!
As you may already know, Beyond Retro are one of my favourite vintage stops for festival attire. I even shot their Glastonbury edit with them last year and covered the festival for their social media channels, which was so much fun! Every season they pull out all the most festival appropriate garms to create their huge festival edit for you to nab the best vintage festival pieces.

One of the festival-themed items I picked out is this UHHMAZING tan leather, buckle shift dress that is one of the most unusual vintage pieces I've ever laid my eyes upon. There's something so incredibly cyber punk about it that it almost looks as if it's from some dystopian future rather than from than the past. It's the perfect dress for wandering around the dystopian set up of Shangri-La at Glastonbury. I layered it with this paisley, seventies-inspired, pussybow blouse that I nabbed in the post-Christmas sale and my staple, black leather Dr. Martens boots which are the ideal festival alternative to wellies.
To celebrate the festival season Beyond Retro have launched a sensational festival campaign to give one fellow vintage lover a chance to win a £250 gift voucher and festival styling experience to get you ready for the summer!
All you have to do is snap a photo of your favourite Beyond Retro festival item next time you're in store and share it on Instagram with the hashtags #beyondretro & #beyondretrofest and tag @beyondretro! If you don't live locally to a BR store, then simply screenshot your fave item from the website or maybe even an item you already own! For full terms & conditions and how to enter, head on over to the Beyond Retro blog.
Good luck!
